Headband hairband made with vintage green floral beaded applique - art deco

This headband was created with 3 antique, beaded appliques. There is one large flower applique in the center with two smaller leaf appliques on either side of the flower. The appliques are from about 1920 to 1950 and feature green, clear and silver colored glass beads. As with most appliques, the beads were sewn onto a netted backing. The headband sparkles in the light and would make a stunning and unique accessory for anyone attending a special occasion.
The appliques were glued onto the headband and the back of each applique was then covered with a black felt.
The flexible, metal headband is covered with a black gross grain ribbon. The ribbon is sewn onto the band, not glued, therefore it will not fall off. This is a flexible band, therefore it is very comfortable to wear. The headband will fit children and adults. It will be too large for most toddlers.
These beaded applique are very old therefore there is some discoloration of some of the beads. There may also be small flaws in the applique itself. I do not believe these flaws distract from the overall look of the piece but add to the authenticity and vintage look. Please enlarge the photos to see the beading.
This piece is meant for adults and responsible young adults. Children can wear this item but please be aware that stepping on it, bending the appliqué, cutting it or getting it wet will damage it.
Dimensions:
The headband measures about 15.25 inches (38.7cm) end to end and is 3/8 inches (1cm) wide.
The large, center flower has a diameter about about 3 inches (7.6 cm) and the entire beaded portion of the band measure about 6.25 inches (15.9cm) long.
