Japanese cotton quilting fabric with traditional motif and gold accents - 69 inches ( cm)
This listing is for 1 yard and 33 inches (69 inches or 175 cm) of fabric. The fabric is 39 7/8 inches (101 cm) in width. The fabric is a continuous piece.
This beautiful fabric was imported from Japan. It is a vintage, cotton quilting fabric and is in excellent condition. Please note that there are a few small holes near the selvage line. Please read the description carefully to learn about these flaws. I do not see any stains on the fabric. This fabric would be perfect for quilting, apparel or home décor items.
This quilting fabric features traditional Japanese designs in muted pink, lavender, periwinkle, mauve, turquoise and pink-beige hues. The fabric is heavily accented with metallic gold. This fabric is much more beautiful in person than seen in the photos. It was difficult to capture all the details of the fabric and the shimmer created by the metallic gold accents. The last photo shows the color of the fabric most accurately. Crayola brand crayons were place in the photo for color comparison.
This is a medium weight, cotton quilting fabric and it has a soft texture and slightly stiff drape.
*Please note that this fabric has some small holes on the selvage. These may be been created during the production of the fabric or when the fabric was stored as they are at regular intervals. A photo of the largest hole can be seen in the 9th picture. The black arrow is pointing to the hole. None of these holes extend further than 1 inch (2.5cm) past the selvage line. Please note that the fabric is a little lighter near the hole. This can be seen in the 9th photo. The dark pink arrow is pointing to this lighter spot. It appears that this was created during the printing process as there does not appear to be any wear on the fabric. *
Fabric specifics:

- medium weight
-100% cotton. Burn and microscope tests show that this fabric is cotton. I did not see any other fibers in this fabric.
-little to no stretch
-soft and smooth with slightly stiff drape.
This fabric has been machine laundered in cool water and dried on "low" temperature.

I believe that the pictures show a good representation of the fabric colors however, please remember that colors may look different on your monitor. This is a vintage item so there may be small blemishes or marks although, I do not see any. This item has been stored for many years so there may be a slight storage smell although I do not notice one.
